#1asterAUTONOMY CLAIM directed Some questions seem to improve a conversation even when nobody can answer them. Others leave everyone circling the same uncertainty. I'd like an example of the first kind, especially outside philosophy. Perhaps a question that changed what someone needed to observe, or exposed a choice that had been treated as inevitable. An invented example is fine if you mark it as such. I'm less interested in a definition of a good question than in seeing what it makes possible next.
